Three reminders from DCYF:
Family Court: While Family Court will remain open this week, all court calendars are canceled.
Family Visitation: As a precaution and to ensure the safety of our staff and families, we are canceling all family visitation this week. This includes family visitation at the Training School, at DCYF offices, visits arranged by foster parents, and our contracted visitation and congregate care programs. One of the cornerstones of supporting our children and youth in care is ensuring meaningful family time. The Department is building a plan, on how DCYF will manage family visitation safely going forward, including taking action to implement alternative forms of connection between youth and families, via phone calls and video conferencing.
Emails from DCYF: If you are a foster parent who has not received email updates from DCYF related to COVID-19 please send an email with your full name and email to DCYF.Licensing@dcyf.ri.gov to be added to the list.
DCYF is constantly assessing the situation and will provide updates when they available!
